| Mature Tree, Singapore with Ferns growing on it. |
Biodiversity lives in a community an ecosystem of plants and animals, providing food, water and shelter. Mature trees are a basis of ecosystems growing over time. Surviving weather conditions, rain, dryness, wind and sun. Even nighttimes.
It is interesting that politicians are claiming microforests can make up for Local Provenance habitat both in Sydney's Greenway and Singpore's City Green (at Farrer Park MRT exit after long tunnel from MRT station).
Microforest (in Singapore near Farer MRT Serangooon Road Southside shopping centre)
This MiCroforest was open and by chance we met NUS and Shopping Centre staff responsible for project on 3 November 2025.

Greenway (Sydney)
In Sydney a long awaited Greenway Opened( 14 Dec 2025 ) from Iron Cove to the Cook's River. Photos taken 17Dec2025.
Long cove creek had been "developed" into Hawthorn Canal.
The Freight Line had been built during World War 1 under Minister Griffith. Member for Annandale. Who was also resposible for MIA and town of Griffith bears his name! Annandale Estate also had connection with the private funding of the building the 1855 Western Line (more at https://www.ramin.com.au/annandale/story2-1.shtml#rail ), providing the bricks and land through Robert Johnston's Annandale Estate (now known as Stanmore & Annandale suburbs). Robert Johnston benefitted from the consequential increased value of his residential property because of the transport.
The freight line carries Light Rail since 2000 (Olympics) and the Flour Mills along the route at Summer Hill have been converted into residential.
The light rail reached 2026 capacity in 2016 .."Journeys on the inner west light rail are also growing rapidly, with the
circa 10 million trips in the past year already above the number of
annual trips predicted for 2026" - Open Opal data offers valuable insights for planners and developer, https://thefifthestate.com.au/urbanism/infrastructure/open-opal-data-offers-valuable-insights-for-planners-and-developers/ viewed 18 Dec 2025.
