Checked out White's Creek Catchment in the rain with a few long time residents including an 82 year old who was born at the Private Hospital where the Leichhardt Bolo is and moved to where she lives now when she was 1. She has seen a few changes and people come and go.    Ferris Lane looked fabulous!    The new lintel in Ferris Street seemed to be working well - residents have worked with council to make this happen along with cleaning out nearby drains and gutters.   Evan Jones Playground had a tree down. And a few other trees need mulching.     Water was flowing out of the grate where Styles Street crosses White's Creek and different drivers approached the puddle. Inner West Council Administrator, General Managers and Councillors

May 2016 : Inner West Council was proclaimed on 12th day of May 2016 amalgamating Leichhardt, Marrickville and Ashfield Councils. Richard Pearson was appointed as the Administrator during initial period. Vanessa Chan (former GM Ashfield Council) was appointed Interim general manager and Peter Head (former GM Leichhardt Council) and Brian Barrett (former GM Marrickville Council) deputy general managers of the new council. Read the litany of amendments made to the Tree DCP at 27 August 2019 Inner West Council Meeting. How the draft Tree Management DCP on the Agenda Papers developed A discussion paper including principles and options to guide the development of the new plan was distributed for community feedback in August/September 2018. Feedback was used to create the plan which the elected Council endorsed for public exhibition at their meeting in November 2018. Principles that guided the draft Tree Management DCP Public safety – Trees on private land are managed to ensure public safety and risk is managed appropriately. Protection of property – Trees on private land are managed to ensure protection of property. Equity/ financial cost - Trees are there for the benefit of the community and the costs incurred by residents to maintain trees should be reduced.
