          with TfNSW in relation to Council relinquishing its lease for property identified as          Buruwan Park Annandale, Lot 31 / DP1055559; and

2.       The compensation funds be allocated to the maintenance or upgrade of Whites     Creek Park.

C0918(2) Item 15         Status of Westconnex Stage 3 Proposed Compulsory Acquisitions
Motion: (Byrne/Stamolis)




THAT:

1.    Negotiations continue in regards to Buruwan Park Annandale in line with the previous determination on this matter of the 12 December 2017.
2.    The General Manager (or delegate) negotiate the terms and executes documents with TfNSW in relation to TfNSW proposed acquisition for property identified as Pyrmont Bridge Road tunnel site (C9) Bignell Lane Annandale;
3.    The Mayor writes to the Minister of WestConnex requesting WestConnex Stage 1, 2 and 3 provide a complete asset schedule of all land and infrastructure proposed for transfer to Council for its ownership and/ or management; and
4.    Prior to entering into an agreement in relation to acquisition of King George Park, the offer be reported to Council.

Checked out White's Creek Catchment in the rain with a few long time residents including an 82 year old who was born at the Private Hospital where the Leichhardt Bolo is and moved to where she lives now when she was 1. She has seen a few changes and people come and go.    Ferris Lane looked fabulous!    The new lintel in Ferris Street seemed to be working well - residents have worked with council to make this happen along with cleaning out nearby drains and gutters.   Evan Jones Playground had a tree down. And a few other trees need mulching.

Len and Dilys Williams and the Hunter Baillie Presbyterian Church

The Rev. Leonard Mervyn Williams and his wife Dilys came to the Hunter Baillie in 1956. The church was in decline and the threat of falling masonry had made it impossible to obtain public liability insurance. (p39, Hunter Baillie ) Dilys conducted alternate services at Leichhardt and Hunter Baillie Presbyterian churches with her husband and was inducted, in 1969, as the first woman Elder in NSW. (p41, Hunter Baillie ). Ferguson Library Archivist mentioned in her talk at the church on 4 September 2010, that Dilys Williams in the 1930s had applied to the Presbyterian Church of Australia General Assembly to be Accepted as a candidate for the Ministry. Her application was "laid on the table" and was never dealt with. The stained glass window on the northern side of the church was restored in memory of the Williams' time at the church.
